These images were taken in the Khutzeymateen Grizzly Bear Sanctuary, in the extreme North-Western part of British Columbia, Canada; not far from the border with Alaska.
Some 60 bears live in the sactuary, that can only be reached by seaplane or by boat. All of these shots were taken from a Zodiac (inflatable boat) that we sitting in and on the estuary. All shots were taken with a 80-400mm lens on a crop-frame body (Nikon D90).
